5 questions for Wendy Knight

Today we have an interview with the author of some amazing books. She weaves such wonderful tales that pull you in and leave you longing for more. You will find yourself going back to her books again and again just to find that escape once more. To revisit the characters you have fallen in love with, the ones you have bonded with through their adventures, sorrow, and moments of glory. Well, with her newest release Wendy Knight proved that it does not matter who she intends her story to be for it is something that anyone can read and enjoy.

Banshee at the Gate is a middle grade book in the Gates of Atlantis Series (each book written by a different author). So meet Wendy Knight, that awesome thing she's holding is a RONE award for Feudlings!

I asked Wendy five questions and here they are for you.

Me: Were you nervous while writing Banshee at the Gate knowing that it had to mesh with what other authors were writing?

Wendy: No. Writing was the easy part :) Editing after to make sure all our stories meshed was hard, but writing Seven was fun.

Me:What is your favorite scene from Banshee?

Wendy:  I love the one where she realizes that to defeat her bad guys, she can't be human or banshee, but that she's both. My favorite, I think, because I'm a mom, is the scene where Six comes to help her. I was all teary-eyed when I wrote that scene.

Me: What is the last thing you goggled?

Wendy:  I googled "How to get gum out of dog hair without using scissors." It wasn't very helpful.

Me: What book are you reading right now?

Wendy: Right now, when I get time to read, I'm working on the Scarlet Pimpernel. I read it in high school and loved it, but I don't have a lot of time to read now.

Me: You have to go on a journey like Seven and you can only take three things with you. What do you take?

Wendy: My phone, because I can't survive without it. My toothbrush, because I hate that fuzzy feeling when I can't brush my teeth. And my adorable husband, because no matter what I face, I can make it through if he's with me :)

Banshee at the Gate.

Thirteen-year-old half-breed banshee, Seven, likes her life. She leads souls safely to Death and she has the planet’s most awesome dad and little brother. But a cryptic message from Atlantis asking for her help changes all that. And then there’s Death, who has decided it’s time to take her brother’s soul. Now she’s racing across the world, trying to stay one step ahead of Death.
Unfortunately, getting to Atlantis from Ireland isn’t easy, and there are evil minions determined to keep her away every time she turns around. But fighting for their lives teaches Seven one very important lesson—she isn’t human, and she isn’t a banshee. She has to be both if she wants to save her brother and make it back home alive.
